Building VideoSends, a browser-based video messaging platform
Polyuno built VideoSends, a video messaging tool that lets anyone record and share HD videos straight from the browser — complete with a teleprompter, video requests, custom domains, a cross-browser extension, and a desktop app.

- In-browser
- HD recording, edit & share
- Cross-browser
- Extension plus a desktop app
- Launched
- With a multi-channel social campaign
The challenge
Most screen-and-video recording tools are clunky, limited to a single browser, and stop at recording. VideoSends wanted a genuinely simple way to record and share HD videos directly from the browser, with collaboration, video requests, and a teleprompter — plus a website that made a technical product feel effortless.
Our solution
Polyuno designed and built the VideoSends platform end to end: in-browser HD recording of screens, tabs, and apps; team collaboration; custom branded share links; a request-a-video flow for testimonials; a teleprompter; a cross-browser extension; and a desktop app that records system audio — backed by rigorous QA.
The challenge
Video has become the fastest way to explain, sell, and connect — but the tools for it are often a chore. Many screen recorders are clunky, work in only one browser, force downloads and uploads, or stop the moment you finish recording. VideoSends set out to fix that with a single, simple promise: record and share short videos, tutorials, guides, and even longer-form content like webinars and live streams in HD, directly from the browser, with nothing more than "hit record, edit, and share."
But simplicity on the surface hides real complexity underneath. The product needed reliable in-browser recording of specific screens, tabs, and applications; team collaboration so colleagues could work together without friction; custom branded share links to make every video look professional; a request-a-video flow to collect testimonials and answers from clients; and a teleprompter for anyone who freezes on camera. On top of that, VideoSends wanted to go further than its competitors with a cross-browser extension and a desktop app — and it needed a website that made all of this feel effortless.

Polyuno was brought in as the all-in-one development, design, and marketing partner to build the platform and launch it.
Our approach
We anchored the build on usability. A tool that records video has to be faster to use than the thing it replaces, so we designed the UI/UX so a user could land on the site, click "Create a video," configure their audio and video settings, and start recording without a single hurdle. Recording specific screens, tabs, or applications had to just work — and behind that simplicity sits careful browser-media engineering.
From there we built out the features that set VideoSends apart. Team collaboration lets users create their own personal team and communicate directly, cutting down on back-and-forth. Custom domains let firms share videos on a branded link with their own name, so every send looks more professional. The request-a-video flow lets users send a link — optionally with prerequisite questions — so a client can record themselves via webcam or screen, add a voice-over, and send back a finished HD clip. And the teleprompter, simple as it sounds, is a genuine game-changer: it scrolls a script on screen while you record, so even nervous presenters can maintain eye contact and sound polished.

Crucially, we extended VideoSends beyond the browser tab. We built a cross-browser extension compatible with every modern browser — including Firefox, which many competitors ignore — and a desktop app that can record the audio from content playing on the user's computer, a capability most rivals lack. A dedicated QA team stress-tested the platform throughout to keep server loads fast and let users record long, high-quality videos without a hitch.
What we built
As VideoSends' end-to-end partner, Polyuno delivered:
- In-browser HD recording — capture specific screens, tabs, or applications, then edit and share, no downloads required.
- Team collaboration — create a personal team and keep communication in one place.
- Custom branded domains — share videos on a link with your own name for a more professional presence.
- Request a video — send a link (with optional questions) to collect testimonials and answers from clients via webcam or screen recording.
- Teleprompter — scroll your script on screen while recording to stay confident and maintain eye contact.
- Cross-browser extension — works across every modern browser, including Firefox.
- Desktop app — records system audio from content playing on the user's computer.
- Rigorous QA — a dedicated team ensuring fast loads and reliable long-form recording.
- Launch marketing — promotional campaigns across major social platforms.

Results & impact
The result is a video platform that lives up to its core promise: recording and sharing HD video is genuinely simple, while the harder capabilities — cross-browser support, system-audio capture, video requests, and a teleprompter — give VideoSends a real edge over more limited alternatives. Because the whole flow runs in the browser and the UI was designed to stay out of the user's way, the product caters to everybody without compromising the technical depth underneath.
- Effortless recording: land on the site, hit record, and share — in HD, from the browser.
- Beyond the tab: a cross-browser extension and a desktop app that captures system audio.
- More than a recorder: collaboration, branded domains, video requests, and a teleprompter built in.
- A real launch: Polyuno ran promotional campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, with a live launch led by our founder.

Beyond the build, Polyuno handled VideoSends' go-to-market, treating marketing as part of the product's success rather than an afterthought. The partnership keeps paying off: the site is easy to navigate, and issues get resolved as fast as they're found.
